Day 1 - Southwest of Madeira Islan

Southwest of Madeira Island

Start your journey with a visit to the impressive São Vicente waterfalls. Located in madeira's lush mountains, these waterfalls offer spectacular views and are perfect for taking photos and appreciating nature in its purest form.

Next, head to the Véu Da Noiva viewpoint. This observation point offers stunning panoramic views of the atlantic ocean and the famous waterfall that resembles a Bride's Veil, majestically cascading down the cliffs. It's a must-stop to admire the coastal landscape and feel the sea breeze.

Continue to Poças Das Lesmas in Seixal, a set of natural pools formed by volcanic rocks. This is a great place for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by the natural beauty of the rock formations.

The next stop is Porto Moniz, famous for its natural lava pools. Enjoy this small village or simply relax and take in the view.

After porto moniz, head to Paúl Da Serra, the largest plateau in Madeira. This place offers contrasting landscapes with vast plains and stunning views. It's a great spot for a light hike and panoramic photos.

Take a break at Bar o Rochão, located in Loreto. This is a great place to rest, have a refreshing drink, and use the restroom facilities. The welcoming atmosphere and charming view make this a pleasant stop on the tour. While still in Loreto, take a break for lunch. Here you'll find a restaurant serving typical Madeira dishes, allowing you to enjoy a delicious meal while appreciating the tranquility of the place.

After lunch, head to Calheta. This town is known for its golden sandy beaches and calm waters, ideal for a relaxing seaside stroll. Calheta also has a charming marina.

End the itinerary with a peaceful return via Madalena Do Mar. This picturesque coastal village is famous for its banana plantations and offers spectacular sea views. It's a relaxing way to conclude the tour, appreciating the natural beauty of Madeira.

This itinerary offers a perfect combination of natural landscapes, relaxation opportunities, and delightful gastronomic stops, ensuring a memorable day exploring the beautiful island of Madeira.

Day 2 - Northeast of Madeira Island

We begin our journey in the vibrant city of Funchal, the capital of Madeira. Leaving Funchal, we take the road towards the Pináculo viewpoint, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding landscapes.

After soaking in the beautiful scenery at Pináculo, we continue our trip to Montado do Pereiro. This area is known for its lush greenery and tranquil environment, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers to explore and enjoy a peaceful walk.

From Montado do Pereiro, we make our way to Poiso, a popular mountain pass. Poiso is a key junction in Madeira’s road network and a great place to take a short break and enjoy the mountain air.

Next, we head towards Ribeiro Frio, a charming village famous for its natural beauty and trout farming. Here, we visit the renowned Balcões viewpoint, which offers an astonishing view over the deep valleys and the verdant mountains covered with laurel forests, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Leaving Ribeiro Frio, our journey continues to Santana, a picturesque village known for its traditional thatched houses. In Santana, we take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant (optional), where we can taste Madeiran specialties such as espetada (grilled beef on a skewer) or bolo do caco (traditional bread).

After a satisfying lunch, we proceed to Cortado, a scenic area that provides an excellent opportunity to admire Madeira's rugged terrain and natural splendor.

Our next stop is the Guindaste viewpoint, which offers a dramatic and impressive view of the northeastern coastline. The cliffs and the ocean create a stunning backdrop, perfect for photography and quiet reflection.

Finally, we visit Ponta do Rosto in Ponta de São Lourenço, located on the eastern tip of the island. This viewpoint is renowned for its striking views of the sea and the unique rock formations along the coast. It’s a fantastic spot to conclude our day of exploration.

After a day filled with remarkable sights and experiences, we return to Funchal, bringing our scenic route to an end.
