Cancellation Policy

At Feeling Madeira, we work hard to provide a reliable, high-quality service with professional guides, carefully planned routes and guaranteed tour departures whenever possible. To ensure fairness to all guests and to protect the operational commitments involved in each booking, cancellations and amendments may be subject to fees.

This Cancellation Policy applies to all shared tours, private tours, group bookings, walks, activities and experiences listed on or booked through Feelingmadeira.pt, or directly through the Feeling Madeira office. The policy applies on a per person, per tour basis.

By completing a booking with Feeling Madeira, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms set out in this Cancellation Policy.


Cancellation and Amendment Requests

Cancellations and amendments are only valid when they comply with the numbered conditions set out below.

If the applicable cancellation or amendment timeframes stated below are not respected, the booking will be considered non-refundable and no refund will be issued.

A booking will only be considered successfully cancelled or amended once Feeling Madeira has reviewed the request and sent written confirmation by email. Any applicable cancellation or amendment fees will be assessed according to the conditions stated below.

Please note that simply sending a request does not automatically cancel or amend a booking. The cancellation or amendment is only confirmed once written confirmation has been issued by Feeling Madeira.

Shared Tours & Activities

For shared tours, shared walks and shared activities:

  • Cancellations received more than 48 hours before the scheduled tour departure time are eligible for a full refund
  • Cancellations received within 48 hours of the scheduled tour departure time are non-refundable
  • Amendment requests received more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time may be accepted, subject to availability
  • Amendment requests received within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time may not be possible and may be treated as a late cancellation

Group Private Tours & Private Activities

For private group tours and larger private arrangements:

  • Cancellations received more than 30 days before the scheduled tour date are eligible for a full refund
  • Cancellations received within 30 days of the scheduled tour date are non-refundable
  • Amendments are subject to availability, operational capacity and any applicable price differences

Group bookings often require advance planning, reserved transport, guide allocation and other operational commitments. For this reason, different cancellation conditions apply.

Amendments and Changes

All amendment requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Possible amendments may include changes to the tour date, number of participants, pick-up details, language preference or tour type. Any change may result in a price adjustment, depending on availability, season, group size or operational requirements.

If an amendment cannot be accommodated, the original booking conditions will remain in place.

Late Arrivals and No-Shows

Late arrivals and no-shows are non-refundable.

This applies to any guest who:

  • Fails to arrive at the agreed pick-up point or meeting point
  • Arrives after the scheduled departure time
  • Provides incorrect pick-up information
  • Is unable to join the tour due to delays outside Feeling Madeira’s control

Our tours operate according to a planned route and schedule, and we may not be able to delay the departure out of respect for other guests and the smooth running of the experience.

Refunds

When a refund is applicable, it will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.

Please note that the time required for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s account may vary depending on the payment provider, bank or booking platform used.

Any transaction fees, platform fees or third-party charges may be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant payment provider or booking platform.

Bookings Made Through Third-Party Platforms

For bookings made through third-party platforms, travel agencies or online marketplaces, the cancellation and refund process may need to be handled directly through the platform where the booking was made.

In such cases, Feeling Madeira will follow the applicable cancellation conditions, but the final refund process and payment timing may depend on the policies and procedures of the third-party provider.

Force Majeure and Operational Changes

Feeling Madeira reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or amend a tour when necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, safety concerns, road closures, natural events, government restrictions or other operational reasons.

If Feeling Madeira cancels a tour, customers will be offered an alternative date whenever possible. If no suitable alternative is available, a refund may be provided in accordance with the circumstances of the cancellation.

Changes to this Policy

Feeling Madeira may update or amend this Cancellation Policy from time to time at the Company’s discretion.

Any changes will apply only to bookings made after the date and time on which the updated policy is published. Bookings made before any policy change will remain subject to the cancellation conditions in place at the time of booking.
